Assistant Director of Pharmacy (Days)

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Las Vegas, NV, to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Pharmacy. This essential leadership role requires a collaborative and results-oriented individual to oversee the daily operations of Pharmacy Services, ensuring optimal efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of care.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Direct day-to-day pharmacy operations, including staff supervision, workflow management, and medication distribution.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to develop and implement strategic plans for new services and enhancements to existing services.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in pharmacy operations, implement process enhancements, and utilize data to drive decision-making.
• Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Resource Management: Manage pharmacy resources, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and budget oversight, to ensure adequate supplies and staffing levels.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations governing pharmacy practices, including medication safety, storage, and dispensing.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, with prior experience as a director of pharmacy, assistant director of pharmacy, clinical manager, or lead role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and some Access).
  • Experience with pharmacy automation systems and reporting features.
• License/Certification: Current Pharmacist license in the State of Nevada.
