We have an outstanding opportunity for an **Assistant Director of Program Operations** with the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP). This is a full-time position (100% FTE) with a salary range of $6750 - $9000, per month.
The Assistant Director of Program of Operations provides program operational leadership for the CWTAP. The desired candidate is required to make strategic decisions that will support overall CWTAP operational and administrative goals and strategies both with respect to current and prospective students, admitted applicants, and the administrative team. In addition, the Assistant Director is required to develop and recommend changes and improvements to current processes and procedures to ensure such changes/improvements are explored and implemented if feasible. They will exercise substantial responsibility for directing and contributing to the operational aspect of the program, supervise staff, and regularly perform professional-level administration and management which requires critical thinking and decision-making. The Assistant Director utilizes specialized knowledge of the CWTAP and has delegated decision-making authority to allocate resources. establish policies, methods, and procedures, and ensure the program conforms to institutional and department policies and regulations.
This position has a responsibility to the CWTAP, navigating relationships, with a core emphasis on the management of the CWTAP Administrative team, the operational support for the CWTAP BASW and MSW programs, and the CWTAP overall as it pertains to the logistics and systematic support for the administrative operation of the program. The person in this position will acquire an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the CWTAP as it pertains to the overall School of Social Work, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), Students, Faculty, and Staff. This position requires keen collaboration, organizational, and facilitation skills to strategically navigate, cultivate, and preserve cross-functional relationships among process partners and campus leaders. The person in this position will bring superior communication and interpersonal skills, patience, advocacy, and a clear sense of mission with an ability to effectively advocate for excellence for the program, students, faculty, and staff.
**POSITION DIMENSIONS AND IMPACT TO THE UNIVERSITY**
The Assistant Director provides leadership and guidance in best practices related to the CWTAP. The roles and responsibilities for this position are unique due to the University's decentralized and complex environment including 3 entities: School of Social Work, DCYF, and CWTAP. The individual selected for this position must:

+ Enhance communication and team effectiveness through actions that are transparent, consistent, and fair. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Program Management
+ Manage the coordination of recruitment events for BASW and MSW students.
+ Supervise the maintenance of documentation and correspondence to ensure UW, state, and federal policies are followed and program compliance is met.
+ Support the operational aspects of MSW and BASW programs including training the administrative staff in customer service and quality control.
+ Support of the CWTAP Associate Director
+ Monitor student support, program, and facility operations.
+ Communicate with external partners to provide the necessary data as it pertains to CWTAP Educational Assistance/Admissions/Quarterly Reports
+ Create and supervise the completion of quarterly reports for the CWTAP MSW and BASW students
+ Liaison and trainer for all software implementation ongoing maintenance.
+ Supervise the Manager of Program Operations and the Program Coordinators
+ Train, coach, direct, and support staff, design performance goals, and complete performance reviews.
+ Lead the hiring process for new administrative staff
+ Assistant to the CWTAP Associate Director
+ Additional assignments as required by the CWTAP Director
+ Develop and manage the CWTAP recruitment process including information sessions, application workshops, and other programming needs for prospective applicants and revise content as necessary.
+ Develop and manage strategic communication plans, including the CWTAP website, social media, and emails, to drive attendance to events and application completion for the CWTAP BASW and MSW Program
+ Work closely with Marketing & Communications and other SSW staff members to ensure University and SSW policies and procedures are followed and communicated and that there is a continued sharing of best practices.Fiscal Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the SSW Program Operational Specialist regarding the CWTAP fiscal matters and compliance and ensure that accurate information is provided on time.
+ Provide training on tuition reimbursement, reconciling budgets, and other fiscal responsibilities as needed.Core Competencies:

+ Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in UW administrative, student services, UW fiscal systems, and substantial knowledge of UW policies and procedures. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Experience with the UW, state, and federal compliance policies
+ Demonstrated experience with program planning and management for students
+ Experience recruiting BASW and MSW students and creating recruitment materials
+ Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
+ Must be able to lead, work independently, and collaboratively
+ Supervisory experience
+ Experience using UW systems Student Database (SDB)
+ Experience with Zoom, Adobe, Canvas, Workday
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Knowledge of CWTAP Operational/Administrative roles
+ 10 years + of experience with the CWTAP Seattle Program
+ 10 years + of experience in UW administrative, student services, UW fiscal systems, and substantial knowledge of UW policies and procedures.
+ Experience supporting BASW/Master of Social Work students
+ Experience reconciling budgets
+ Familiarity with Qualtrics or similar programs
