Overview:
Summary Statement:
The Revenue Manager analyzes internal and market data, including pickup, pace, occupancy forecasts, and competitor rates to achieve maximum revenue and profitability.
Job Duties:Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Own and manage all Group related requests impacting inventory or pricing.
- Assist in providing group projections and evaluating group pricing functionality in RMS.
- Driving Group Strategies in anticipation of continued growth in convention demand.
- Oversee group rate protect implementation.
- Audit on the books group inventory to ensure consistency between systems.
- Lead meetings with the Sales and Group Operations teams to review group pick-up and pace.
- Optimize inventory management for all Resorts World brands.
- Evaluate room type utilization to maximize upgrade opportunities.
- Evaluate the performance of distribution partners (OTA, FIT, corporate, consortia, groups, etc..)
- Provide opportunities for improvement in departmental processes and procedures.
- Provide interdepartmental guidance to ensure pricing and inventory strategies are executed accurately.
- Update and maintain the group block utilization and provide forecast intelligence.
- Understanding of configuration and management RMS, PMS, CRS, Passkey and Delphi.
- Provide continued insight for improvement on RMS configuration.
- Understand and engage in implementing casino strategies and tactics.
- Participates in pricing strategy and prepares historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities.
- Participates and leads discussions during Sales Business Reviews (BR) by assisting with the Sales department to determine booking terms, pricing, conditions, and allotments.
- Explores opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenges existing processes/systems/products to make improvements.
- Collaborate with a team of analysts intended to create and administer reports, ad hoc and dashboards.
- Support leadership in developing and maintaining automated, self-service reports.
- Monitors and facilitates property and partner rewards programs inclusive of employee room allocations.
- Manage events, overbooks and pricing strategies by room type/categories in RMS
- Prepare and analyze the group block discrepancy report.
- Build displacement matrixes to guide most profitable business.
- Assist with providing guidance through Forecasting and budgeting.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
- Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:
- Intermediate Excel skills, such as advanced formula usage, data sorting and filtering and table creation
- Experience with preparing and presenting executive-level reports and presentations.
- Strong analytical and numeric skills for fast data analysis.
- Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.
- Working knowledge in analyzing financial statements, revenue reports and market data.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with a team.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
- Hotel/Resort group and convention experience, such as Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, or Group Reservation Agent.
- Working knowledge of Delphi/Passkey (or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, computer science, finance, economics, or a similar or related field.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Delphi, or other statistical software, and/or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of revenue management systems, such as Duetto, iDeas, or Rainmaker.
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- At least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two to four years of Revenue Management experience in a similar or related field.
- Minimum of one to two years of previous leadership/management experience in a similar or related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
