Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Surgery: Support the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the surgical department, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to the surgical nursing team, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and high standards of care.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for surgical services.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Academic degree in nursing required (bachelor's or master's degree).
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (health administration, business, public health, or management) is required.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of progressive management experience as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position in a hospital environment.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
- Current CPR certification.
