Responsibilities:- A successful Assistant F&B Manager has a strong knowledge of menus, products used, and taste within the first week of employment.
- Assistant F&B Managers are expected to assist in the training of all front of house employees.
- Assistant F&B Managers should expect to work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure proper food quality, quantity, and presentation.
- Assistant F&B Managers should be able to oversee the entire restaurant operation in the absence of the F&B Manager.
- Ability to assist in maintaining an efficient scheduling program to ensure a high standard of service with use of minimum man-hours.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to promote positive interactions with guests through sincere greeting and communications.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Open availability. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
- Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Possess knowledge and experience with financial and revenue systems, as well as policies and procedures specific to the hospitality industry.
- Strong computer aptitude and skills such as Microsoft Office, POS and Revenue systems.
Physical and mental qualifications
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation. Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
- Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
- Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
