TheAssistant General Counsel will have expertise in civil litigation and will assist with the company’s domestic and international corporate legal matters and functions, including ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risks and civil litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Provided legal counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of trust and fiduciary matters.

• Oversee civil litigation and dispute resolution.

• Remain current on trust industry laws and regulations to ensure the company’s compliance. 

• Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.

• Risk management identification, mitigation and resolution

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to address legal aspects of business operations.

Qualifications:

• JD

• Hold Bar

• 3-5 years min. of relevant legal experience

• Strong background in civil litigation

• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication
