We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our strong team in Charlotte, NC. This pivotal role ensures every guest receives exceptional service while overseeing day-to-day operations in the Heart of the House (Kitchen) and the Front of the House.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: Up to $65,000, depending upon experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and Implement Policies: Ensure all company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are followed.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Guarantee every guest receives friendly, courteous, and exceptional service.
- Role Model and Facilitator: Act as a role model and facilitate nearly all hourly positions.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor food and beverage quality to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Achieve Objectives: Reach sales, service, safety, and sanitation goals through effective staff training.
- Financial Management: Control cash and other receipts following established procedures.
- Employment Decisions: Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching employees.
- Employee Development: Develop hourly employees in managerial and professional skills to build future leadership.
- Administrative Tasks: Prepare required paperwork, including inventory, par sheets, ordering forms, reports, performance reviews, and schedules.
- Inventory Management: Oversee purchasing, receiving, inventory, and cost management of all food and beverage products.
- Labor Cost Management: Control labor costs by assisting in scheduling based on forecasted sales and positions needed.
- Policy Compliance: Administer consistent corrective action for policy violations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements.
- Service Flow Facilitation: Facilitate the service flow from the kitchen to the Front of the House.
- Support Opening and Closing Procedures: Support opening and closing procedures for both the kitchen and dining areas.
- Talent Recruitment: Identify and recruit outstanding talent to build a strong team.
- Work Environment: Foster a fun, safe, and rewarding work environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant-related experience in an hourly or managerial position.
- Excellent basic math skills and proficiency with cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Stamina to work 45 to 55 hours per week.
