Position Description:
Assist the overall direct marketing operations within the company. Provide support to the General Manager for the production execution, training and quality control of all production departments. Will provide leadership towards development of plans and strategies for continuous improvement regarding safety, quality, customer relations, productivity and financial success. Provide leadership through continuous employee development, equipment utilization and system improvements. Monitor daily production through put and create and execute action plans to achieve success.
Essential Duties:

- Assist in the creation action plans as necessary for capital investment and staffing to achieve strategic plans, budgets, and financial success.
- Lead the plant to improved safety, quality, productivity and reduction of waste on a consistent and continual basis in each process.
- Work to improve the performance of employees through consistent and continual leadership in education and training programs.
- Understand EOS at its core and be able to run a L10 with direct reports and peers.
- Lead the plant to improved safety, quality, productivity and reduction of waste on a consistent and continual basis in each process.
- Maintain awareness of competitors, satisfaction of customers and market opportunities.
- Work to improve the performance of employees through consistent and continual leadership in education and training programs.
- Provide guidance and direction to department managers regarding the continual improvement of operations for which they have ownership.
- Review and evaluate manufacturing activities, performances and results. Initiate team action to identify and remove problems with schedules, excessive costs, materials or other factors affecting quality, safety, service or productivity levels inconsistent with plant continual improvement efforts.
- Maintain open communication with plant managers and employees to improve safety, quality and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
- Make recommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, training, and merit increases of Plant Personnel. Motivate staff in support of department objectives and timely and effective schedules to ensure production goals.
- Demonstrate commitment to continual process improvement efforts to assure that all customer expectations (internal and external) are exceeded.
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the staff that falls under your direction. Remove obstacles and barriers throughout the company.
- Work continually with the direct reports on taking Impact to the next level of service and quality.
- Any other duties assigned by General Manager
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Education requirements may be substituted with advanced years of progressive Managerial and/or Executive experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Performance Measurement:
Performance feedback will take place both verbally and written on a day-to-day as needed basis, recognition in monthly employee recognition meetings, formal training on changes in SOP as needed with a formal review by the supervisor at least annually.
Work Schedule:
Due to the nature of responsibilities, it is anticipated and expected that some duties will be performed outside of normal business hours. Therefore, the weekly work schedule can vary from week to week. A 5 day week / 8 hours per day is expected unless work must be performed during non-business hours.
Work Environment:
The noise level is moderate. Work near fumes & air borne particles, risk of electrical shock, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
