Essential Functions
- Commit to "owning" the cleanliness of every element and aspect of the building with a critical eye for detail
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the supplies and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions
- Directs and works with employees to verify guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained
- Verifies guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner
- Inventories stock to verify adequate supplies
- Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space
- Understands the impact of department's operations on the overall financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to verify understanding
- Supervises daily Housekeeping shift operations and verifies compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
- Assist with any housekeeping duties when need arise
- Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
- Ensure effective and timely communication to all hotel guests and employees on issues, information and process
- Participate in departmental and special committee meetings to contribute suggestions and feedback
- Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:
Minimum Requirements
- High School or equivalent education required
- Must have a minimum of three years housekeeping experience; ideally with additional inspections and supervisory responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors / external parties, and across internal divisions
- A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates
- Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws regarding health and safety service
- Proficient Computer literacy with multiple systems
- Able to handle any situation under pressure
