Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Incumbent works in a high volume Referral Center to establish, support and maintain relationships with internal and external referral entities, such as medical groups, IPA's, Health Plans and community physicians.

Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Understanding of medical terminology as well as insurance programs and payors
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum 6 months recent experience working in the Healthcare field directly related to referrals, authorizations, medical billing, etc.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer service position within a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of hospital based registration/scheduling system to register patients
- General knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to problem solve, negotiate and research for answers
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to interpret and understand various medical insurance plans and make accurate determinations regarding coverage
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous call center experience
- Experience with EPIC and/or OnBase.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- 1 to 2 years experience in a Healthcare field directly related to referrals, authorizations, medical billing, etc.
