Job Description Summary
Anatomic Pathology Assistant Manager reports to the Laboratory Manager. Under limited supervision, the Assistant Manager is responsible for organizing tasks, work flow, evaluating and solving technical issues in specialty areas, problems of specimen collection and processing. This role interacts with the medical/technical director and laboratory manager to establish procedures and policies. This position maintains expertise in gross pathology, histopathology, special stains, and immunohistochemistry, testing and methodologies.Entity

Job Description
Anatomic Pathology Assistant Manager reports to the Laboratory Manager. Additional Job Description
Education: Advance knowledge and skills in a specialty area of Anatomic Pathology required.
A bachelor’s degree in a science related field
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification in a related clinical laboratory science
AND a master’s degree or completion within three years
Five years leadership experience (preferred)
Laboratory operations experience (preferred)
Licensures, Registrations, Certifications
HTL (ASCP), or CT (ASCP), or PA(ASCP)
Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt
