Assistant Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) Faculty Development Specialist
The Assistant Faculty Development Specialist, reporting directly to the Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) Faculty Development Specialist, will assist in the development of a diverse portfolio of educational, training, and advancement programs to support the professional growth of LREC's faculty language teachers and academic staff.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Assist in the development and implementation of a variety of pedagogical techniques and methodologies that will be utilized by LREC's faculty language teachers.
Work in collaboration with Yorktown's team of faculty and instructional developers to support the LREC faculty development strategic plan.
Provide assistance in the development and coordination of the delivery of instructional methods and materials to students.
Develop training materials to help ensure Yorktown's language teachers understand and apply appropriate academic instruction and performance assessments which provide for measurable outcomes.
Advance the use of data to drive student achievement and assist staff in adjusting instruction for continuous improvement.
Design and facilitate workshops, mentoring programs, webinars, and online training programs for faculty.
Provide support, as needed, to LREC Program & Instructional Faculty & Staff.
Contribute to designated projects.
Other duties as assigned.
