Assistant Line Operator

Pay Rate: $17-$20
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Line Operator to join our team in Utah. This role involves assisting with the operation of the pouch converting line, with a primary focus on end-of-line inspection and packaging of flexible pouches. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to safety and teamwork. This position reports to the Print Production Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct visual inspections of flexible pouches for defects such as wrinkles, misprints, or poor seals.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Report any defects or quality issues to the Line Lead or Quality Control team.
- Package finished pouches into designated containers.
- Label and prepare packages for shipment according to protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities and types of pouches packed.
- Assist the primary line operator with machine setup and operation.
- Monitor the machine for issues and assist in basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Help with loading raw materials into the pouch converting machine.
- Ensure packaging materials are available to avoid downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety concerns immediately.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to [insert weight] pounds.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, or weekends as needed
