The Assistant Maintenance Superintendent reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance and is responsible in supervising the daily operations of the Department to ensure that CDTA can continue to provide safe and reliable transportation to its customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Maintenance Superintendent reports to the Superintendent of Maintenance and is responsible in supervising the daily operations of the Department to ensure that CDTA can continue to provide safe and reliable transportation to its customers.
General Duties:
- Under the direction of the Superintendent(s), supervise the daily operations of the Maintenance Department
- Provide administrative support to address all needs of the Divisional Transportation Superintendent
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Union contracts and company policies. Administer discipline as required.
- Work with union officials to settle disputes at the lowest possible level.
- Review all accident reports and take appropriate actions.
- Supervise the maintenance of employee files, including attendance records, time off requests and payroll.
- Coordinate with the Transportation Supervisors and Maintenance Foremen on matters concerning maintenance programs and initiatives.
- Make recommendations on service and management improvements to the Division Superintendent.
- Control and direct movement of all revenue service vehicles to minimize delays and maximize transit service operations.
- Provide information to the Division Superintendent as needed
- Ensure that accident reports and records are processed by Foreperson
- Support Operations service programs as they relate to service goals and labor management initiatives.
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance and management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as proprietary maintenance programs and systems
- Ability to interpret, follow and enforce company policies and the CBA
- Knowledge of CDTA operations and service routes
