We are seeking to hire an energetic and courteous Assistant Manager, with a passion for the ‘Aloha Spirit’ and aspiration to deliver a premium Hawaiian beverage and food experience to our Houston customers.

Supervisor: General Manager
Status: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Role and Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating shifts, handling customer service issues, managing inventory, and contributing to the shop’s financial performance and overall success.
Duties include:
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, ensuring the shop is ready for business and secured at the end of the day.
- Oversee daily operations, including coffee and food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation of products.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Train and mentor staff to uphold high service standards and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Assist in scheduling shifts and managing staff attendance.
- Support the onboarding of new employees.
- Conduct staff training sessions and assist in addressing any performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and workplace safety.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop.
- Address and resolve operational and customer-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist the general manager in developing and implementing solutions to improve shop operations.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- 2-5 previous years of experience in a coffee shop or food service environment.
- Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
- Previous leadership experience is a plus.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- This position requires you to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 30lb.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
