We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager . The selected employee will play a pivotal role in supervising and guiding a team of Assistant Account Managers and Associate Account Managers. The Assistant Manager will provide leadership, training, and support to their team members, while also actively participating in the management of client accounts.
Responsibilities :
Assistant Manager :
+ Supervise and direct assigned team personnel, including training, motivation, performance appraisal, and salary recommendation, with a focus on creating a talent pipeline for Account Manager roles.
+ Provide direct, timely feedback to team members to correct or reinforce behaviors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
+ Raise issues of the team to managers and develop recommendations for improvement to management.
+ Participate in the recruitment and selection process for team personnel, including recommending the hiring or dismissal of personnel within the team.
+ Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting professional growth and development opportunities for team members.
+ Ensure team members learn the necessary skills and knowledge to support assigned Account Managers
+ Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Account Management:
+ Assist in the handling and servicing of assigned commercial accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
+ Prepare applications for submission to the Marketing/Underwriting Department for new and renewal coverage, negotiating pricing and coverage terms, as necessary.
+ Review policies for accuracy and adequacy of coverage, including rating calculations, and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
+ Maintain account information in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
+ Assist customers and provide suggestions for appropriate coverage based on their risk attributes and needs.
+ Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
+ Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing/Underwriting, to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
+ Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the Manager, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.
+ Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
+ 5-7 years of relevant experience
+ Previous experience in insurance account management and team leadership or related field required.
+ Strong knowledge of various lines of insurance and carrier appetites.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to work within designated time frames and prioritize tasks effectively.
+ Active insurance license required.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite and insurance-specific software preferred.

Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: No Travel Required
Required Education: High school or equivalent
