Knowledge of the United States logistics and transportation industry preferred
Proved experience with planning and strategy in a large international corporation preferred
Strong analytics skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions required
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders preferred
Proficiency in procurement software and tools, MS Office Suite, and database management required
Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in procurement and supply chain management preferred
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills required
Critical thinking, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills preferred
Thorough understanding of sourcing and procurement methodologies: including spend analysis, supplier screening, benchmarking, clean-sheet costing, negotiations, supplier performance management, scorecards, contracting, and cost-savings preferred
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree Preferred
6 - 9 Years of Direct Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and/or Logistics Required
7 - 11 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
Logistics Procurement and/or Transportation Procurement Experience Preferred
1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
CPSM, CPIM, CPL, or PMI Preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
