Assistant Medical Director - Deaconess Health System

Deaconess Family Medicine Residency is seeking a full-time Assistant Director for their Family Medicine Residency Program to join seven (7) existing physician faculty members.  We are looking for a Family Physician who has strong teaching/leadership skills to provide outpatient supervision and maternity care (deliveries optional) with our family medicine residents and other attending physicians.  Inpatient adult medical care/supervision is also available but not required.  Some highlights of the position are as follows:

• Three (3) half-days for a private practice; approx. 70% teaching, 30% private practice (negotiable).  One of those half-days would be at a partner FQHC supervising residents providing maternity care to underresourced patients including immigrants.
• Other Duties: staffing outpatient clinics; one lecture per month
• If inpatient adult medicine included, Family Medicine service home call 1 weeknight every other week and every 7^th weekend on average.
• No other residencies to compete with
• Predominantly a Medicaid population for the residents
• Eight (8) residents per year within the program, total of 24

Candidates must be board certified in Family Medicine with a minimum of 2 years recent clinic practice experience preferred, but not required.  EMR experience is preferred and Epic competency is a plus.  Must have or be eligible for an Indiana medical license.
