The Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services Department will work for a non-profit health system, known for their acute care hospital, walk-in centers,, and speciality services. The highly accredited 200+ bed acute care hospital received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for their Joint Replacement, Stroke, and Heart Failure programs.
Reporting to the Senior Director, the Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services will oversee the ER department which cares for over 50,000 patients per year and is open 24/7 for adult, pediatric and geriatric patients throughout the community. The Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services and will be supported by a team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Educators, specialists, Registered Nurses (many of which holding their CEN and TNCC certifications), technicians and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services include managing the department budgets, preparing for all upcoming accreditation and surveys, updating policy procedures, developing strategic short and long term growth initiatives, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally, the Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services should hold an active RN license, prior leadership experience, and a clinical background working in a fast-paced emergency department.
