Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager - Perioperative

Salary: $99,000.00 to $138,000.00

Primary Function:
This role assists in administrative and clinical direction for nursing and patient care operations in a perioperative setting. The Assistant Nurse Manager shares responsibilities for all operational activities including clinical practice and patient care delivery with the Nurse Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Human Resources Management: Involved in hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, and termination decisions.
- Leadership and Development: Acts as a role model, supports professional development, and implements strategies to improve staff knowledge.
- Clinical Practice: Directs and supports staff, promoting a Relationship-Based Care approach, and oversees clinical standards and patient care activities.
- Operational Management: Participates in operational planning, budget management, performance improvement, and safety initiatives.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborates across departments to support patient care and organizational goals.
- Quality Improvement: Develops, implements, and monitors initiatives for performance enhancement and patient safety.
- Staffing and Mentorship: Participates in staffing decisions and mentors potential future leaders.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Must have operating room experience and CNOR certification.
- Education: A Bachelors degree in Nursing is required, and a Masters degree in a relevant field is preferred or expected to be completed within five years.
- Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; knowledge of clinical practices, administrative processes, and staff management.
- Licensure: Current nursing license.
- BLS Certification is required.
- Professional nursing certification in a related specialty is required.
