A renowned Skilled Nursing Facility in iconic Southern California is actively interviewing for an Assistant Nursing Director for their Skilled Nursing Facility. The Assistant Nursing Director will add their oversight to an over 100 bed Hospital that makes over half a billion dollars annually. This role would have you overseeing a team of qualified and caring nursing professionals at a critically acclaimed local Southern California hospital.
Under the purview of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Nursing Director of the Skilled Nursing department will be responsible for the overall management of the unit including planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating, and budgeting the daily activities of the unit. Reporting up to this role would be a team of dedicated LVNs and RNs to oversee and train as needed. A team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists will also report to the Assistant Nursing Director for specialty care of patients as needed. This role would be a great fit for someone with a strong attention to detail, ability to delegate effectively, and someone with a passion for helping people. This position also would work closely with the Hospital Administrator to effectively delegate hospital policy and make sure all direct reports are in compliance.
This position includes delegating the care management plans of geriatric and adult populations, and ensuring that documentation is completed thoroughly though routine auditing and training of department staff. Continuous education on effective infection prevention and patient safety are a paramount task for this Assistant Nursing Director and those who report directly to this position. Spot checking documentation to ensure compliance is also a large part of this role, as well as instructing team members on the importance of proper assessments to the daily condition of numerous aspects of the quality of patients care and lives.
Reporting up to the Assistant Nursing Director would be a team of dedicated LVNs and RNs to oversee and train as needed. A team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists will also report to the Assistant Nursing Director for specialty care of patients as needed. This unit is a supportive team of tenured professionals that provide excellent care for their patient populations, as well as assisting each other when help is needed.
This Assistant Nurse Director of Skilled Nursing Facility will also be responsible for implementing the mission, vision, policies, goals, and objectives of the organization and the nursing/clinical services within their area(s). The SNF Assistant Nurse Director will also serve as liaison between rehabilitation nursing to promote the philosophy and goals of the organization, the development of team relationships, and congruent rehabilitation practices.
