POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists in the coordinating, planning, and supervising of all production and mechanical activities throughout the ambulance remount process to ensure delivery of federal, state and locally compliant ambulances for internal and external customers. This position will plan, coordinate and supervise all parts, materials, tools and equipment procurement. This position will also assist in the daily technical aspects of the ambulance remounting process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical assistance to all remount/production personnel as needed.
- Assists in the prioritizing and planning of the ambulance remounts with the Operations Manager and Vice President of Fleet Plus.
- Responsible for the timely acquisition of all parts/materials for the ambulance remounting process.
- Responsible for ensuring that all parts/materials/ labor hours are correctly allocated to an ambulance remount project for proper invoicing.
- Coordinates with Operations Manager to ensure production of ambulance remounts meet/exceed compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Coordinates with the Operations Manager and Vice President in analyzing production schedule, and recommend revisions in methods, equipment, tooling, or materials to effect conservation in costs or to avoid production delay.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed. Responsible for the training of personnel and oversees compliance with all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures relative to performance guidelines, equipment, and personal safety.
- Participate in departmental and company meetings as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Five (5) year’s experience in vehicle manufacturing and maintenance
- Experience in materials management/inventory maintenance
- Excellent working knowledge of ambulance electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience supervising employees in manufacturing process
Education and Certifications
- ASE Certification
- Air Conditioning Systems 609 Certification
- High school and/or trade school diploma or equivalent
- Class “C” driver’s license

- Works indoors and outdoors with occasional exposure to electrical, radiant or energy hazards; fumes, odors, temperature changes.
- Exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment.
- Occasional travel and/or extended day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasionally: Kneeling, stooping, bending, leaning: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Frequently: Hearing/listening, clear speech, reaching, touching.
