How You Will Make an Impact:
Atlas Sands is in search of an Assistant Plant Manager to join our Operations Team in Kermit and Monahans, TX. The Assistant Plant Manager is a multifaceted role – part of the Plant Management Operations team, working with Atlas Leadership, leading the plant by example, and always putting safety first.
Responsibilities:
- Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management.
- Competent in the use of data for decision making.
- Need to work under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary.
- Having the ability to work and multi-task in face pace environment
- Stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of both supervisors and management workers.
- Confers with Plant Manager in establishment of shift standards and working schedules for all departments connected with production.
- Develop and maintain a safe and environmentally compliant operation.
- Direct production to meet quality standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly operating plans/schedules to ensure customers' requirements are met
- Prepare and maintain daily and weekly production and quality reports.
- Lead, mentor, and train Operations Supervisors
- Adhere to all Atlas Sand and MSHA standards.
- Manage employee time & attendance, mentor Shift Supervisors
- Recommend changes in standards and procedures to improve production and performance
- Assist in preparation of operating and capital costs
Qualifications:
- High School or Equivalent required; BS Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or related preferred
- Minimum 10 plus years' experience in Mining/Superintended level management required
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong relationship builder - employees, management team
- Strong Computer Skills – Microsoft Office products
