The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine and the Emory Transplant Center are seeking a licensed/licensed-eligible clinical health psychologist to work primarily on the liver transplant team as part of the Transplant Behavioral Health program.   

Primary roles include (1) pre- and post- surgical assessment, treatment planning and implementation of brief health psychology interventions for liver transplant candidates and recipients (inpatient and outpatient); (2) attendance in team meetings including the liver and transplant behavioral health teams; (3) conducting individual and group therapy services for liver transplant candidates and recipients; (4) educating and training staff and supervising and teaching within the psychiatry residency and psychology training programs, (5) participating in research or quality improvement activities, and (6) contributing to the department and broader institution through service.   

 

Applicants must have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APA accredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. Applicants with administrative competencies, in addition to clinical, research, and teaching expertise, are encouraged to apply.  Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Experience with liver transplant and/or addiction populations is preferred.
