About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
- Teaching graduate level courses, pursuing scholarship and providing clinical supervision/service in the online Master of Science in Addiction Counseling program.
- Facilitate meaningful discussions, promote critical thinking, and provide constructive feedback to students to foster their professional growth.
- Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experiences.
- Demonstrate excellent communication abilities, effectively conveying information and ideas both verbally and in writing. Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Apply advanced practice knowledge and skills in addiction counseling and pursue a related scholarship agenda.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years’ clinical experience as a licensed and/or credentialed counselor;
- Licensure as a professional counselor in the State of Texas;
- Online teaching experience;
- A record of scholarship in addiction counseling.
