Minimum Qualifications:

Assistant Professor:
+ 1-3 years of related clinical and research experience at rank or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum degree qualifications: PhD and/or PsyD
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3 or more years of experience in treatment in a behavioral health, health or wellness field
+ Advanced skills and training in Motivational Interviewing
+ Previous experience in training, education, or facilitation of health and behavior change
+ Experience with tobacco use and other addictions treatment
+ Consultation experience with healthcare and public health organizations
+ Proficiency in statistical and database software
+ Record of publications in peer-reviewed academic outlets
+ Record of successfully developing and receiving grants
+ Be a licensed Colorado provider or have the ability to obtain a license in Colorado
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations to faculty/staff, healthcare providers, administrators, and community partners.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty/staff, healthcare providers, community members, and administrators at all levels including outside organizations and the public.
+ A demonstrated ability to organize and complete complex projects and to work under tight deadlines while utilizing problem-solving and critical thinking skills when necessary.
+ Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team, handle a fast-paced environment.
+ Experience developing federal and non-federal grant proposals and designing studies.
+ Experience with COMIRB or other institutional review board.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.

We offer training and technical assistance on health and wellness across the lifespan, and work with communities, healthcare facilities, and public health and governmental agencies to promote health and wellness in priority populations. We provide training and consultation to healthcare and public health providers, administrators, and peer advocates. BHWP also engages in community implementation science. Our mission is to improve quality of life by facilitating evidence-based health behavior change for communities, organizations, and individuals.
