Salary/Pay Range : $74,000-$85,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurated upon experience and qualifications.

Summary
The Department of Physics and Energy Science, University of Colorado Springs (UCCS), invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in experimental Condensed Matter Physics starting August 2025. The department offers Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees, and has active research programs in several areas of theoretical and experimental physics. Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Establish a research program with national and international visibility and will actively seek external funding.
+ Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
+ Mentoring students
+ Providing service to the profession, department, university, and community.
+ Collaborate in research with current faculty members.
+ Specialization in experimental condensed matter person with experience in growth and characterization of materials.
+ Familiarity and the intent to use MBE, sputtering, vacuum techniques, and surface science measurements is desirable.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
+ A PhD in Physics or a closely related field.
+ Have taken a large fraction (about 50%) of standard Physics courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Outstanding teaching potential as based off of sample lecturers and other measures.
+ Excellent research record.
