Assistant Professor of Management
Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Assistant Professor of Management position. Eastern is Connecticut’s Public Liberal Arts University and is located in Willimantic, Connecticut which is 1.5 hours from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City. Eastern is one of six institutions in the Connecticut State College and University System (CSCU). The position also offers substantial health and retirement benefits.
Position Description: The position is primarily for teaching management courses in the undergraduate program. There is opportunity to teach in the online graduate program as well. Candidates are expected to demonstrate experience or potential for teaching excellence, research productivity in keeping with the practices of a teaching-intensive institution, and engagement in professional activities. Candidates with a strong research record or potential in applied research or pedagogy are desirable. The candidate will be active in its service to the department, University, and community.
Qualifications: A terminal degree in business, management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required. ABD candidates close to completion of their doctorate program are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with expertise (teaching, research, or practice) in organizational behavior, human resource management, and/or business ethics are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, scholarly and professional activities, and active service to the University and community.
