A leading academic medical center is seeking a qualified Rhinologist for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position with potential tenure-track. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a clinician dedicated to advancing the field of Otolaryngology through patient care, teaching, and clinical research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, educational involvement with residents, and departmental service. The primary clinical focus includes both general otolaryngology and specialized tertiary rhinology/skull base services. This position offers an exciting blend of clinical practice and academic involvement, with the ability to further develop a customized practice.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care (80%): Provide general otolaryngologic and advanced rhinology/skull base care to address an unmet need in the community. Initially, the role will involve a 50/50 split between general otolaryngology and tertiary rhinology, with potential for practice customization.
Teaching (10%): Participate in the training and mentorship of otolaryngology residents. Our program matches four residents annually.
Research (5%): Collaborate on research initiatives and enjoy access to a dedicated research fellow.
Service/Administrative (5%): Engage in departmental service and administrative responsibilities, contributing to the growth and advancement of the department.
Qualifications:
Education: MD degree
Certification: American Board eligible/certified in Otolaryngology.
Licensure: Eligibility for a Tennessee Medical License.
Training: Residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in Rhinology.
Eligibility for the American Board of Otolaryngology HNS.
