Description
St. Bonaventure University’s Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning fall 2025. The Department is looking for someone who is prepared to teach both Ethics and Critical Thinking in our General Education curriculum, and someone who has expertise in any of the following areas: sustainability studies, philosophy of economics, and/or indigenous philosophy. The teaching load is four courses per semester.
We are looking first and foremost for an excellent teacher. Candidates who also have a promising research agenda are desirable. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2025.

We are a predominately undergraduate, liberal arts-based institution with 2000 students located in the Allegheny Mountains near Olean, NY.
