Assistant Professor, Tenure Track, Department of Biomedical Sciences - University of Pennsylvania

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine is soliciting applications for a TENURE-TRACK faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The Department of Biomedical Sciences consists of faculty with diverse expertise spanning basic and translational research into fundamental cellular, molecular, epigenetic, and genetic mechanisms governing health and disease. Candidates with interests in embryonic and adult stem cell biology as well as tissue regeneration and repair are encouraged to apply. The School is located at the heart of the University’s Philadelphia campus in a highly interactive biomedical research environment. The Department’s faculty serve in leadership and teaching roles in multiple Biomedical Graduate Studies groups including Cell and Molecular Biology, Pharmacology and Immunology and delivers foundational veterinary medical education. Integration in the broader biomedical community at the University and access to a wide variety of core facilities provide ample opportunity to engage in collaborative cutting-edge research to advance both human and veterinary medicine.



The successful candidates will be recruited to the Department and have the opportunity to affiliate with University-wide Institutes, Centers, Graduate programs, and potentially hold secondary appointments in an additional relevant Department. Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., V.M.D./D.V.M. or equivalent degree and productive postdoctoral training.
