Description
As an integral member of our team, you will:
- Serve as head of service in the absence of the Program Director
- Act as a liaison between administrative, clinical/program staff, and other agencies
- Supervise assigned staff and provide clinical supervision hours for BBS registered staff/interns
- Assist in clinical program development and recruitment for clinical positions
- Plan and implement clinical training for staff
- Train and supervise new therapists and case aides
- Ensure compliance with DMH and Gateways' documentation requirements
- Participate in educational seminars and inter/intra-agency meetings
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate policies and procedures
- Prepare reports and presentations
- Provide on-call coverage for emergency consultation and intervention
- Assist in crisis situations and facilitate client transfers to higher levels of care
- Develop, implement, and monitor group schedules
- Complete client assessments for placement
- Hire, train, evaluate, and develop corrective action plans for staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience providing individual and group therapy in the mental health field
- Functional experience with the mental health system
- Strong treatment and diagnostic skills utilizing the DSM V
- Experience with severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, and evaluating dangerous behaviors
Education & Certificates
To be considered, you should have:
- Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work or psychology
- LCSW or licensed Psychologist – Eligible to complete appropriate clinical supervision training to supervise registered MFT or MSW interns or other designated disciplines
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance
- Valid California Driver's license
- TB clearance
- Driving record acceptable for coverage by Gateways insurance carrier
- Fire and Safety Training*
- First Aid Training Certification*
- CPR Certification*
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)**
