Are you an experienced professional in the field of construction, with a knack for managing multiple tasks under pressure? We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be a key player in our construction projects, assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of work on multi-family residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with general contractors and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project, from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth project progression.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site, including scheduling, quality control, and safety.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met.
- Identify potential issues or delays and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, ensuring that everyone is updated on project status, changes, and issues.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare reports on project status and progress.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on multi-family residential and commercial projects.
- Experience working with Tenant Improvement (TI) projects is a must.
- Previous experience working with general contractors and coordinating multiple aspects of a construction project.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
