**Job Description**
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Project Manager. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will provide comprehensive administrative and construction support for the Project Management team. This role involves managing project documentation, coordinating tasks, and ensuring adherence to company policies and project quality standards.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Support the Project Manager with overall project coordination, problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update change order, submittal, and drawing control logs, preparing reports for construction meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate submittals, including assembling and delivering Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Oversee subcontractor contracts and interact with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation.
- Monitor other contractors' activities and progress, addressing any issues that arise.
- Create Job Information Sheets, establish Job Files, and ensure Warranty Logs are up-to-date.
- Represent the company in client and subcontractor meetings, providing technical assistance to field personnel.
- Prepare price change orders, project reports, and assist with payroll accuracy.
- Assume total project supervision in the absence of the Project Manager.
**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role.
- Equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience will be considered.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Strong understanding of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
- Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and employees at all levels.
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities and customer-focused mindset.
**Working Conditions**
- Primarily an indoor work environment with occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- General office work includes sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
