Job Description:
The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. Working closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders, the Assistant Project Manager will assist in overseeing all aspects of project management, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
2. Assist in preparing project budgets, estimates, and forecasts, and track project expenses to ensure adherence to financial goals.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and services necessary for project completion.
4. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate issues.
5. Collaborate with the project team to maintain clear communication and foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
6. Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any onsite challenges.
7. Assist in the review and interpretation of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure project requirements are met.
8. Support the coordination of inspections, permits, and approvals required for project completion.
9. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, change orders, and other relevant records.
10. Contribute to project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions as needed.
11. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually enhance project management processes and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial construction project management or related role.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines and budgets.
- Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Experience working in Oklahoma City or familiarity with local construction practices and regulations is preferred.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 annually. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
