Sierra Architectural Products is actively seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the project management team in the design, manufacture, and installation of architectural doors and millwork for commercial, residential, and government projects. You'll help ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards while playing a crucial part in enhancing our lean processes and problem-solving approach.

- Assist in planning and managing projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
- Coordinate and communicate with architects, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct job site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, and reports.
- Support the project management team with procurement, scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Participate in regular project meetings, providing updates and assisting in problem-solving when challenges arise.
- Help with LEAN implementation and continual improvement strategies in project workflows.
- Track and monitor job costs, proactively identifying potential budget issues and contributing to efficient financial management.
- Oversee safety procedures, ensuring adherence to company and industry safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (but not required).
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a desire for professional development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience with LEAN principles or the willingness to be trained is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed for projects.

Work Schedule:
- Full-Time, with the possibility of a hybrid work environment.
- Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm PST.
- Work on site at the office in Sonora, CA.
- Travel to project sites as required, with provided per diem.
- Move to area prior to starting work if needed.
