Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer, you will be at the heart of our operations, and your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion.
- Coordinating with various teams, including design, engineering, and construction, to ensure that all project requirements are met on time and within budget.
- Preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plans, and tracking progress against these plans.
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure that they meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
- Preparing regular project status reports and presenting them to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or engineering in the construction industry.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of adhering to and promoting strict safety and quality standards.
- A professional engineering (PE) or project management professional (PMP) certification would be a plus.
