Assistant Project Manager - Spherion

Spherion Staffing has an Assistant Project Manager role available in Mitchell or Sioux Falls SD. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in all aspects of project management, from initiation to completion. This includes planning, scheduling, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring that project goals are achieved within scope, time, and budget constraints. The ideal candidate should be organized, proactive, and possess strong communication skills.

Salary $65-75/year DOE

Responsibilities:
-Assist with establishment and maintenance of client relations
-Preparation and maintenance of project cost estimates and project budgets
-Solicitation of bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
-Evaluation of bids and proposals
-Provide identification and evaluation of design costs
-Review project drawings and specifications
-Assist in preparation and distribution of project documents
-Assist in on-site contract administration operations
-Assist with purchasing and contracts
-Provide management of the RFP process
-Identification and Evaluation of Means and Methods of Construction
-Communication and coordination of project schedule, means and methods with Operations
-Identify and resolve project issues - RFI's
-Provide collaborative input for overall company operations
-Maintain Project Estimate - Change Orders, Forecasting etc.
-Assist with preparation and interpretation of schedule of values, billing documents, invoice review, coding and billing preparation

Qualifications:
-Bachelor???s degree in Construction Management
-Must be proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Bluebeam and ProCore
-Ability to learn the specifications and technical details of a commercial construction project
-Ability to create and maintain project estimates
-Must be a self-starter with an analytical mind set
