Growing Manhattan based Real Estate Firm is seeking an experienced residential assistant property manager to oversee a portfolio of market walk-up rental properties in NYC. Potential candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience managing residential properties in New York City. Knowledge and experience with ECB, DOB, HPD, FDNY & DHCR procedures and regulations preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is a must. A general understanding of the NYC building and maintenance code is mandatory.
The ideal candidate must be service oriented and possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, schedule repairs, resolve accounting matters and expeditiously resolve all resident issues. The candidate must be able to work well under pressure and possess a strong ability to multi-task. It is imperative that the candidate be able to provide outstanding customer service and be able to maintain prompt courteous communications with residents, associates & contractors at all times.
The APMis responsible to perform regular detailed inspections of the assigned buildings to ensure that they are clean, safe, secure, and impeccably maintained by our superintendents to the satisfaction of the Landlord. APM helps to provide oversight to superintendents and maintenance staff for their assigned portfolio.
The APM is also responsible for assisting in overseeing and managing the apartment renovations, conducting walk-thru of job sites daily, working alongside outside contractors and vendors, and sending out RFP and approving bids from contractors.
