If you combine strong experience as an assistant property manager, residential leasing agent, or a similar title, with a personable demeanor, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with prospects, community members, vendors, and staff, the role of Assistant Property Manager offers you some compelling advantages. This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position with the flexibility to work Saturdays when needed. We offer competitive pay ranging from $23.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience. Beyond the base pay, you'll have the opportunity to earn commission on rentals, lease renewals, and a quarterly bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and more. Plus, we offer reduced rent if you choose to live in the community (available after 90 days).
Your Qualifications:
To be a good fit for the Assistant Property Manager role, you will have:
- At least 2 years of residential property management experience. We'll also consider proven leasing agents who are ready to step up to an assistant property manager role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Solid computer skills including experience Yardi Rentcafe (highly preferred) or similar property management software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with tenants, vendors and maintenance staff.
The Job:
As the Assistant Property Manager (APM), you will report directly to the Community Manager and be an essential part of a three-person team supporting a community of 172 one- and two-bedroom apartment homes. Working onsite in the leasing office, you'll manage daily operations and tenant needs with a personable, upbeat approach. Your commitment to providing top-tier service, coupled with your ability to perform duties timely and efficiently, will make you a valuable asset to the community.

- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the property management company
- Collecting monthly rent and maintaining records of payments and rental activity
- Assisting with tenant relations such as addressing tenant concerns and complaints, and responding to comments
- Assisting in managing all aspects of a building’s occupancy and maintenance
- Meeting with prospective tenants to show properties, conduct interviews, receive rental applications, and explain terms of occupancy
