PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

As an Assistant Purchaser, you will:
Position Summary
- Assist with purchasing responsibilities throughout the project life cycle which includes ordering materials, supplies and equipment, and follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement documents and agreements for the materials needed to execute the project deliverables.
- Assist in vendor bid evaluations of proposals and technical evaluations.
- Prepare purchase order documents and submit purchase order information into online purchasing application for final approval.
- Submit purchase orders to vendors/subcontractors, obtain and log order acknowledgment.
- Assist in expediting vendor submittals to support detailed design and delivery of equipment and materials to support construction activities.
- Assist in preparing procurement status reports and expediting reports.
- Assist in sourcing and qualifying potential suppliers to provide required goods of service.
- Assis in preparing procurement packages to engineering and project specifications.
- Verify supplier pricing, quantity, reliability and industry experience.
- Assist with compiling "Request for Proposal" (RFP) documents including documents, drawings and specifications.
- Research pricing information, compare prices and quotations.
- Compile and present cost comparison and analysis.
- Assist with Project Procurement Status Material Status Reports.
- Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Law or Construction related field. Required or
- Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Required
- Previous internship and/or related consulting experience Preferred
- Oracle Financial R12 software experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
