Assistant Recreation Manager (TRD Certification Required)
Summary:
The primary role of the Therapeutic Recreation Assistant is to run and implement therapeutic social and cognitive entertainment as well as activities, trips and events for residents.
Responsibilities:
•Complete and follow activity calendars which should have a variety of activities scheduled.
•Participates, organizes, and implements daily social and therapeutic activities and events.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience running, developing/planning and implementing therapeutic programs, activities and events for seniors or physically/ mentally challenged adults in a clinical setting.
- Possess a Therapeutic Recreation Director certificate of completion
- Must be able to run, develop/plan and implement multiple events and programs and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment that target specific behavioral and/or patient groups as needed.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required
