Job Summary:
As a Rink Technician Trainee, you will receive hands-on training to operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment and support the overall upkeep of our facilities. What You’ll Learn and Do:
- Ice Maintenance: Assist in the operation of the Zamboni and other equipment to create and maintain smooth, safe ice surfaces.
- Equipment Handling: Gain experience in the routine operation and basic maintenance of ice rink machinery.
- Safety Practices: Understand and apply safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for skaters and staff during all activities.
- Facility Upkeep: Participate in the general cleaning and maintenance of the rink and surrounding areas to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside experienced rink technicians and management to learn best practices and efficient workflows.
- Record Keeping: Help maintain logs and records of maintenance activities, ice conditions, and equipment usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A strong willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in machinery is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- A positive mindset and passion for providing excellent experiences to our visitors.
