The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for all staffing, sales, and operations in a Scooter’s Coffee location. This role builds and leads a friendly service-oriented barista team, sets a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profit, and demonstrates an engaged management style. The Assistant Store Manager exemplifies Scooter’s Coffee core values. This position serves as a role model of shift lead and barista responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience.
- Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush.
- Assist the Store Manager in onboarding and training new team members.
- Develop effective working relationships with team members. Provide ongoing performance feedback and development for staff members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance.
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales while controlling expenses.
- Understand and execute cash handling, point of sale system, and operational procedures in an accurate, consistent manner while maintaining company standards.
- Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Serve as a keyholder, following all opening and closing procedures.
- Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability.

- Encourage and ensure full team participation in both setting store goals and developing action plans to accomplish goals.
