About the Job
- Develop and standardize processes and procedures from General Manager.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, budgetary items, training, and regulatory activities.
- Assist in managing scheduling and timing of production. Plan for current and future production requirements and maximize equipment use.
- Implement plans and checks on production progress with continuous follow up.
- Assist in promoting a continuous improvement culture through communication and coaching employees as well as finding opportunities for streamlining production activities and enhancing value-added processes.
- Manage and monitor the safety and health factors, according to OSHA.
- Requires a leader committed to getting the job done in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Foresee potential problems before they develop, stay focused during busy times, solve problems and delegate tasks to employees to keep things running smoothly all while keeping a level head and producing a cost effective and quality product.
- A working knowledge of lumber grading, process engineering, safe work practices and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with a demonstrated work history of accomplishments and increasing responsibility.
- A working knowledge of lumber grading, process engineering, safe work practices and maintenance procedures
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to interface, communicate and motivate line operators in order to facilitate efficient operations and continuous improvement.
