We're thrilled to expand our team and are searching for a talented Assistant Store Manager focused on Operations to help us continue our journey of elevating the 5 to 9. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in launching and managing Cozy Earth's first brick-and-mortar storefront in California. Your primary focus will be on ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies and California state regulations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving shipments, managing stock levels, and conducting regular inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and ensure product availability.
- Team Support: Partner with the Store Manager to train, guide, and support store associates in executing operational tasks. Act as a point of contact for any operational challenges that arise. Manage team member schedules.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that store presentation, product displays, and customer interactions reflect the Cozy Earth brand's high standards. Provide exceptional customer service.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the store's operations and work with the Store Manager to implement solutions.
- Support Sales Goals: Assist in driving sales by ensuring that operational processes support a seamless shopping experience and efficient customer service.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a retail management team or similar role in a luxury or premium retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
- Knowledge of California labor laws and retail compliance requirements.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking.
This role offers a combination of base salary and commission, with a base pay range of $24 - $28 per hour. Actual base pay offered may vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.Commissions are earned based on monthly store performance and sales targets.
