Assistant Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Position Overview: The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing specific field operations on projects, ensuring their timely and profitable completion. While this role does not involve manual labor, you will actively manage and direct the work of on-site labor teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the on-site field labor team daily.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to create and maintain a site logistics plan.
- Track project costs, including labor time and materials.
- Manage schedules, create detailed short-term plans, and adjust activities as needed to stay on or ahead of schedule.
- Complete and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
- Attend and actively participate in project and subcontractor meetings.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Post-high school education in a construction-related field.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, including equipment, labor, and methodologies.
- 2+ years of commercial/light industrial construction experience.
- Computer proficiency and adaptability to new technology.
- Ability to understand construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
