Assistant Swim Coach - The Boar's Head Resort

Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for seasonal Assistant Swim Coach to join our Sports Club team! As an assistant coach, you will be responsible for motivating children ages 5-18 years of age to participate in swim practice and compete on the Swim Team.

Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with planning practice drills.
• Assist with preparation of the swim meet lineup.
• Assist in preparing and keeping swimmer records.
• Assist with the maintaining meet entries, swimmer time boards and a list of swimmers who miss each meet.
• Assist with the preparation and post motivational games and challenges for the team.
• Assist with the prepare of swimmers for meets.
• Interact with parents.

In order to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

Essential

• Advanced knowledge of swimming skills and competition.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with children of all ages.
• Ability to attend all practices, meets and functions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to help motivate participants.
• Ability to communicate well with adults.

Desirable

• Strong background in competitive swimming.
• Previous experience as a swim coach/teacher.
• Training in water safety (ie. Lifeguard, Basic Water Rescue, etc.)
