Currently hiring Assistant Infant and Toddler Teachers.
Morningstar has provided reliable, quality education for infants, toddlers and pre-k kids in Big Sky since 2007. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program for children ages 3 months- 2 years old. They are responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher with all aspects of care and education for the students who are enrolled in their classroom and must be able to communicate effectively with families and staff. Morningstar Learning Center is a state-licensed facility, and the Assistant Teacher must follow all Montana Licensing Policies. They must qualify as an Assistant Teacher in the state of Montana.
Greet and interact with all parents and students
Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children alone in the classroom
Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and have minimal absences
Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations
Leadership --ability to communicate with a team and be an engaged team member
Teamwork – work with diverse individuals/ employees and still accomplish MLC and personal goals
Ensure the safety and well-being of each student by responding to their emotional, social and physical needs as well as their education needs
Follow Montana Licensing Policies
Be the primary caregiver for students in the classroom
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service
Assist in planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the students in the program
Engage students in activities and play that stimulates their development
Always Supervise students while keeping them safe
Assist students with activities of daily life (restroom use, hand washing, eating choices, etc.)
Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all students
Document behavior / incidents if needed
Assist the Lead to Compile developmental assessments and reports for all students based on benchmarked for developmental stages and facilitate parent-teacher conferences
Maintain a professionalism at Morningstar and in the community
Experience and Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Infant, child and adult CPR/First Aid (within 30 days)
Infant safety Essentials (within 30 days)
Current on Montana Practitioner Registry (within 30 days)
Complete orientation courses (90 days)
Complete 16 hours of training annually
Combination of education and experience may be considered
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary of $40,000
