Assistant Teacher(s) - Springfield JCC

If you have a desire to work with a loving, inquisitive, child-centered team, then the Springfield Jewish Community Center Early Learning Center is your next professional home!  We are looking for amazing Assistant Teachers to support our children and classroom educators.  We have full and part-time openings for nurturing, inclusive, engaging, and reliable people of all faiths to work with our educators in caring for children, ages six weeks to 5 years.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage in developmentally appropriate play with our children

• Facilitate activities with our children

• Help with classroom cleaning and activity preparation

• Change diapers

• Prepare food and spaces for children

• Be flexible with children ages birth - five years

• Any other tasks that the Director/educator deem necessary for the success of our children

• Work 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for full-time shifts

• 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 - 5:00 p.m. for part-time shifts

Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, but we will provide training.

Rate of pay: Starts at $17.00/hour (based on experience and education)

Hiring Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years

• Reliable transportation

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience with children age birth - five years

• Pass a successful background check including fingerprints
